Loyola University New Orleans Alumni Association presents several honors annually to outstanding individuals who have shown their commitment to Loyola and their communities.
Adjutor Hominum Award
Presented by the university at the Alumni Association Jazz Brunch, the Adjutor Hominum Award honors an outstanding alumna or alumnus whose life exemplifies those characteristics that Loyola seeks to form in its graduates--namely moral character, service to humanity, and unquestionable integrity. Alden "Doc" Laborde Award for Ethical Entrepreneurship
The Laborde Award is given to an individual who embodies the talents and virtues of ethical entrepreneurship. Past recipients of the award include Alden "Doc" J. Laborde, H '96; Frank B. Stewart, Jr.; Alvin A. Baumer, Jr., '75; Dr. Jack Andonie, '58; Robert "Bobby" Savoie, M.B.A. '81; and Tom P. Daly, II '92.
Alumni Association Graduation Award
Each year, the Alumni Association grants a $1,000 award to one graduating senior from each of Loyola’s five colleges—the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Nursing and Health, College of Business, College of Music and Media, and the College of Law. The award will be applied towards the recipient’s student account upon graduation certification. See more here »
Integritas Vitae Award
The university’s annual Integritas Vitae Award is presented to a local, national, or world leader who has demonstrated the values and philosophy of a Jesuit education – namely moral character, service to others, and unquestionable integrity. See more here »
Wolf Pack Athletics Hall of Fame
Presented annually by the Hall of Fame Commission, the Wolf Pack Hall of Fame recognizes individuals or teams for outstanding accomplishments in intercollegiate athletics at Loyola. Recipients are recognized during half-time of a Wolf Pack men’s basketball game each February, and honored at a post-game ceremony. View Hall of Fame Inductees here »
College of Law Glass Honoree
This award is presented to someone affiliated with the College of Law at the Law Alumni Bar Convention Reception during the Louisiana State Bar Association Annual Meeting. This award honors individuals who have volunteered service to the university or furthered the cause of the College of Law Alumni Association. View past recipients here »
College of Law St. Ives Award
This award is presented at the annual Law Alumni Luncheon to a College of Law graduate who represents the highest standards of the profession of law. This award honors those who have volunteered their service to Loyola University or the College of Law, or furthered the cause of the College of Law or the Law Alumni Association. See more here »
School of Mass Communication Den of Distinction
This honor recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves nationally by a lifetime of accomplishments or extraordinary achievement in the field of mass communication. Den of Distinction nominees are innovative mass communication leaders, set new standards of excellence, and serve as strong role models for Loyola’s students and alumni.
